Description

Schizandra berries are the fruits of a woody vine found throughout the forests of northern China. Because the flavor profile of the fruits reputedly includes salty, sweet, sour, pungent and bitter qualities, Schizandra berries are commonly called běi wǔ wèi zi, which translates to “five flavor berry.”
